I have been painting for over 16 years and work with watercolour, acrylic, pastels and encaustic wax. I love the fluidness of watercolour. I get pleasure from the brilliances and texture of acrylics and delight in the effect of pastels. I enjoy the abstraction of encaustic wax. My favourite subjects are landscapes. Nature inspires me. I love to travel to lakes and rivers and forests because there is something about moving water and the breeze in the trees which calls me. Mountains are so awesome that I feel compiled to paint them. I am a staunch advocate for arts and culture in our community and have served on the executive of the Redwater Art Society and have helped to organize community art shows. I served as Vice-President and President of the Alberta Community Art Clubs Association for four years. The ACACA is the only provincial art club in Canada. I have been influenced by Willie Wong, Gale Adams, Glenda Lewisch, Graham Flatt, Jean Warren, Lorna Kemp, Susan Woolgar, David Shlolney, Frances Alty-Arscott, Lian Quan Zhen, and Karen Blanchet and they have all influenced my technique.
