I view paintings as a poetry of forms and colors. I have been drawn to painting since childhood and now pursues it alongside my career as a biotech researcher.
My art is shaped by a wide range of interests and influences, reflecting my love for literature, philosophy, mathematics, and science, as well as the worlds of fantasy and science fiction. My work is characterized by vibrant colour use and experimentation with shape, form and size, offering expressions of themes such as nature, knowledge, perception, evolution, change, symbolism, and absurdity.
I take pleasure in merging and experimenting with forms, playing with scale to create dynamic visual experiences. Though my work often explores intricate ideas, I seeks a sense of simplicity in my approach, aiming for paintings that evoke thought, wonder, and perhaps even a smile.
My artistic inspirations span across eras and cultures—from Frank Frazetta, Van Gogh and Takashi Murakami to ancient cave artists who have reached out through time to share their worlds. I primarily works with acrylics and look at art as a creative learning process and am perpetually interested in new techniques.
Ultimately, I hope my art will stop viewers in their tracks, encouraging them to reflect, question, and find beauty in the moment.
