I began my career in painting in 1981 when I joined a group of painters in my home town of Kamloops, BC. At that time I also owned and operated an arts and crafts store until 2001 and produced an arts and crafts TV program for the community TV channel for many years. Upon relocating to Alberta in 2002 I turned my attention to an in-depth study of Encaustic Wax painting using watercolour as a companion media for the wax. In the gallery below, "Flanders Salute" was the recipient of the Jean Stephenson Intermediate Award for Watercolor at the 2015 ACACA Spirit Show in Edmonton. "What Lies Beneath" received the Lillian Nunn Intermediate Award for Encaustic Wax in the same show in 2015. I keep busy teaching selected workshops during the year and participate in art exhibits.
