About Us
The Redwater Art Society is a local group of artists working to promote art within the Town of Redwater and surrounding area. We have members from Redwater, Sturgeon County, County of Thorhild, Smoky Lake, St. Albert, Gibbons, Radway, Bon Accord and Fort Saskatchewan. On November 24, 2023 the society celebrated its 40th Anniversary. We hold at least two shows and many classes of formal instruction per year.
Meetings & Gallery
We meet every Wednesday from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at our gallery and workshop at 4920 - 47 St. just south of the Redwater Library. On this day members will bring projects that they are working, assist other members or provide lessons. Critiquing and providing assistance to others is one of our major goals. Our gallery and studio is also open at other times for special events.
Add a unique cultural touch to your life
We encourage anyone, regardless of age, to join us and develop your talent. We have members who have been painting for only a year or less and those who have been painting for over twenty years. You never know what you can create until you try.
Membership
Our members work in a variety of mediums including acrylic, oil, watercolour, pastel, pencil crayon, encaustic wax and others. No matter what media you like to use there are always members willing to assist you in your chosen media. Membership fees: $50 per year adult / $25 youth.
