I started painting in 1980 when a former Redwater area resident and artist Larry Bilodeau started teaching art in his quonset on his farm and have been with the art club since then. Growing up in a small rural school I loved Friday afternoons where we got to draw and colour for half an hour before we went home. I still like to colour! I started in oil and have experimented with acrylic, pastels , pencil crayon and encaustic wax. I like to paint portraits, animals, old buildings and flowers. I am continually amazed at the diversity of people and that in spite of all our differences we all have a love of art that connects us.
